From New York Times best-selling authors Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward comes an unexpected love story that started with a boy and girl and heats up when the man and woman reconnect.
I’d never forgotten him - a man I’d yet to meet.
Griffin Quinn was my childhood pen pal, the British boy who couldn’t have been more different from me. Over the years, through hundreds of letters, we became best friends, sharing our deepest, darkest secrets and forming a connection I never thought could break.
Until one day, it did.
Then, out of the blue, a new letter arrived. A scathing one - one with eight years of pent-up anger. I had no choice but to finally come clean as to why I stopped writing.
Griffin forgave me, and somehow we were able to rekindle our childhood connection. Only now we were adults, and that connection had grown to a spark. Our letters quickly went from fun to flirty to downright dirty, revealing our wildest fantasies. So it only made sense that we would take our relationship to the next level and see each other in person.
Only Griff didn’t want to meet. He asked that I trust him and said it was for the best. But I wanted more - more Griff, in the flesh - so I took a big chance and went looking for him. People have done crazier things for love.
But what I found could change everything.

I needed to read a book like this now and these two authors made an incredible job in this story.
One of my favorite things is the pen pal experience they created between Luca and Griffin.
The letters are my favorite in this book. My favorite letter was with "Abba" songs. I'm a huge fan of this band. I loved to see how Luca had a good taste in music.
Griffin is a hot singer. Unfortunately one night he was so angry that he decided after 8 years to write a new letter to his pen pal girl.
Luca never had a normal life since her best friend died. She was afraid of traffic and big crowds. Sadly her father passed away and she needed to clean his house. She never thought she would find a new letter by her pen pal boy from England in her mail box.
The love they shared is beautiful and will conquer your heart.

When I saw the cover for Dirty Letters that also pulled me in.
Luca and Griffin met when they were young and became very close as children and as pen-pals.
Luca is in the USA and Griffin is in the UK as a boy. They start to write alot of letters to each other sharing absolutely everything and communicated alot through these letters, that was until one day everything changed, suddenly the letters stopped.... nothing...
When Luca goes through a tragedy during high school, her life is changed forever. She goes through alot of pain, guilt, hurt and anxiety and she struggles to move on with her life.
Griffin doesn't understand whats going on. Years later Luca gets a letter out of the blue and is shocked.
Luca ends up having to go on a road trip to her fathers home to clear it out, but as she suffers with agoraphobic and severe anxiety and asks her doc to ride with her.
Luca has separated herself from the world and society.
Griffin now lives in California and the two happen to reconnect.
The authors brought the characters to life completely in an exceptional well whilst they also did highlight the struggles in the book extremely well.
The letters did take me on an emotional roller coaster sometimes.
I will say at first i actually thought that Luca was male which we find out not.
I would recommend this book although at times i did struggle with some parts and i found it sometimes difficult to read.
Thank You

Luca and Griffin have been pen pals since childhood with Griffin living in the UK as a boy and Luca living in the US, they correspond for years until Luca has a tragic event happen in her life that makes her stop writing to Griffin. Years later Griffin writes a letter to Luca out of the blue; to say she is shocked would be an understatement. Since the event that changed Luca forever she has suffered from anxiety, a fear of open spaces and crowded places and also guilt by the bucket load and so even though she wants to re-connect with Griffin again she is torn between the devil and the deep blue sea. This is her story about her journey and how she goes about it.
I adored Griffin and Luca, I just wish they had taken their time a bit more when they did eventually meet, I thought it was a bit over the top and rushed, BUT saying that didn't really spoil this book for me.
I have read a few books by these authors and enjoyed them all, this one not one of my favourites but still defiantly worth the read.

Now many years later Griffin has taken a chance and written to Luca. He is still angry that she had suddenly broken off writing to him and as a rock star based in California, wrote his most successful song called 'Luca'. But why does he now refrain from telling her about his rock star fame in America?
Luca stopped writing when her best friend died after a fire at a concert they were both attending. Guilt, sorrow, deep remorse and post traumatic stress (PTS) and as a punishment to herself, she stopped. She developed an abnormal fear of hope spaces and public places. But how is Luca going to explain her condition to Griffin? And how will he react? Will they ever resolve their difference?
This is one of the best books I have read in a long time. The heroine and hero exceeded my expectations. They will exceed yours. You simply must get and read this delightful story for yourself.

This time they quickly realise that there is more to this than just a friendship but Griffin is scared to fully show himself to her and Luca is scared because of her mental health.
I really enjoyed reading this book (I have a love for letters/text communication between characters 😊) and Griffin is such a sweet hero.
He really wants to do the best for Luca and wants her to be comfortable and happy at all times.
Doc's character was lush! I love a good side character. He was so good for Luca and her personal issues and the friendship between them was so cute. Then when he started being there for Griffin too 🥰🥰
I devoured this book in less than day, such an easy read and good story.
