Hush puppies have been my favorites for years and years. They are comfortable from the first time I put them on until the day they've served their purpose and have to be discarded. The same size fits just right time after time. My latest pair, a couple of months old, I'm wearing as I type (word process) I wore to church yesterday after I cleaned them up after wearing them while digging in the mud three days previously. (I had to let them dry out.) I would rather have good feet than good shoes. I love me so much I'm willing to sacrifice a new pair of shoes to protect my feet. But with my Hush Puppies I didn't sacrifice anything but the few minutes it took me to clean my shoes.

Comfortable and fit well, but don't last

These shoes are very comfortable and fit very well. If I was reviewing them based on that, they would easily be a 5 star shoe for me.

For me, these shoes just break down very easily. I have black and brown, and I wear each roughly 3 times a week for work. They see about 30 hours of a wear a week, but most of that I'm sitting down at a desk. The current brown pair that I have lasted about a year and I had to order new ones because there's just no traction anymore. The slightest bit of water and I slip. In an office that's not too big of an issue but having almost fallen multiple times in one day recently, it prompted me to order.

I wish that for the price that they would last a bit longer, but they are very comfortable. If you're in better shape they might, I'm a pretty big guy which probably doesn't help.

Awesome new shoes! Comfortable, stylish, and easy-to-wear. The fit is superb, especially since the effects of gravity have apparently caused my feet to widen. Plenty of room for toes, heels and all the other parts in these shoes! They are also light as can be considering they appear to be large and clunky. Not so! The soles are thick and the shoe sturdy and well-made, but, still, light as a feather!

Great Shoe for Individuals Who Has Wide Feet and Prefer Soft Shoes.

I wear size 9 D/E shoes and prefer soft cushion over leather/rubber cushion. Though I do agree that this shoe isn't very fashionable, it is by far, the most comfortable formal shoes I've ever worn. The cushion of the insole and the shoe color are soft and fluffy. The tow cap is wide and spacey which fits perfectly with my size feet. The shoe itself is almost as light as a jogging shoe and it's not stiff at all. You don't have to break it in or drag it around like those heavy and stiff dress shoes out there.

The only problem I have with this shoe is that it didn't last as long as I would expect it to last. The sole's cushion degraded significantly after a month use and the leather outside the boot begin to wrinkle after 4 months. The shoe manage to last 7 months on my watch before I have to buy a new one. Considering how comfortable it is, I'd say it's worth it. I'm already making another purchase as I write this review.

Third pair of HushPuppies and they are not the same...

This would have been my third HushPuppies in this exact style and this exact size. That being said, I dont know what happened with this particular order. The leather on the black shoes I ordered looks more of an imitation leather, no where like the previous two I ordered. Also, I own a size 12 and 11.5 which both fit. The 12 being a hair too big but still workable. The 11.5 I ordered is bigger than the 12 I own. My foot slips in and out of the heel. I see many reviews saying that they are uncomfortable, I'm not sure if that's true for me as my foot slips around, but the "comfort" of the shoe does seem to have been changed.

Really dont know whose to blame for all of this.

This is the third pair of these I have purchased. They are very lightweight and comfortable. They only last about a year or so if you wear them daily. The soles are fairly soft and tend to wear out quickly.
