I couldn’t love this book more!! I would give it 6 stars if I could 🙂 I have been really excited to read it, and it did not disappoint. So much wisdom, groundedness, simplicity, connection. A truly empowering and thought-provoking read, with an important message for this day and age: slow down; be present – and so many more. It is wonderful to see the evolution of not just the tree stories, but also how Holly is experiencing it as she goes. It's a wonderful journey of personal development to see unfold!

I cannot wait to get my hands on the accompanying workbook and journal about connecting with the trees for myself. I’m not expecting to tune in to them in the way that Holly does (at least not right away) but their magic and wisdom is so appealing – I do feel a connection with trees and can definitely sense the energy of a place, and I would love to learn to connect with this in a deeper way. I have often wondered what it would be like to stand in a place in Nature and look back in time – it is delightful to learn how this is possible through the ‘wood wide web’ 🙂 I love that!

You'll never view a tree in the same light again. More please, Holly! 🙂

It would be too easy to dismiss this work as tree-hugging on crystal-meth, but the thing is trees do talk; chat to one with a chainsaw and cut into a branch, a trunk, or a root that has grown under twisted tension and it will give you a reply to your unwelcome probing that will send you flying; fall from one and again an answer to your miss-step will be heard when you hit the ground, allow your concentration to slip when felling and experience the harsh response.

Worton's conversations with the woodlands are much more subtle than this as via her approach much more can be extrapolated, what the trees have to articulate is far more expansive, more is heard, understood.

This is a really honest, authentic and endearing journey that the author shares with the reader about how she overcame her own scepticism and self doubts around connecting with the wisdom and healing power of nature as it spoke directly to her through channeled conversations with trees.

Through this book Holly encourages you to open yourself to your own personal experiences of connecting with trees in a beautiful way. She provides great background information regarding people's changing relationship to trees through history, and the individual healing properties of various trees.

You are invited to explore, to be curious and to see what happens for you as you connect with trees. You are frequently reassured that everyone can do it, and that everyone's experience will be different, so you can't get it wrong.

It is a lovely book whose deeper message is to slow down, listen with your heart and remember that the wisdom and magic of nature is available to us to bring healing, greater connection with ourselves and others, develop awareness and find insight and transformation.

This book moved me and touched me deeply. Holly weaves together a sense of the sacred with her obvious love of nature. I had no idea about some of the physical aspects and behaviours of trees and to hear each of their voices channeled in this way was delightful. I love that Holly brings a sense of personality to each of the trees.
This book is needed right now as a way of creating a more lived connection with the world that loves us and gives us our homes.
A lovely, beautiful read.

Evidently a well meaning person, but the tree dialogue was unconvincing to me. I'm interested in Undines, Dryads, Sylphs etc. because I do believe in a dimension of nature spirits.. However, a genuine interest in these subjects is one thing. To me, what the trees were reported as saying was a shallow and quite repetitive theme. Bland in its content and including the same philosophy that I think most of us have heard in a similar vein. The naturalist information and odd facts presented by Holly were very good and nicely balanced the book. I read the tree part as a fantasy fiction, which the author said you could if you wished.
