These come up really small. 7-8 is too small for my 5 year old, arms length ok but too tight in the body. I just ordered a 9-10 years and this fits better but he is 5 years old and skinny!! Size up! X 2!! Coat is for forest school lessons and seems good quality for £19.99. Very lightweight and thin so it can be layered on colder days but will keep him dry on warmer days.
Bought size 13 years for my tall 10 year old, Arms fit well, but stomach area too tight and she is not over weight. Very light matieral She complained her arms were sticking to the sleves after 20mins (had a tshirt on under)
Great jacket but would buy from Mountain Warehouse website next time so they don't have to pay a share to Amazon. Same price on the MW website and also advertised as an offer from £39 - no mention of this being a sale on Amazon.
Although the raincoat was ordered appropriate to my boy's age(13 years),when my son tried it on,it showed it was way too small-the body itself was feeling tight, sleeves too short and feeling also tight.I usually buy for my lad slim/skinny fitted jeans and size smaller tops, tshirts, hoodies as he's of a thinnish build. So this raincoat was a bit of one off. Anyway the coat itself seems of a good quality.
The rain jacket is a nice simple design and definitely waterproof but the size is MUCH smaller than expected. I bought a large (size 11-12) for my 9 year old because I wanted it on the larger side so he can wear a hoodie underneath but it’s too small for that. I should have gone with an extra large which I thought would be waaaay to big. So I highly recommend to go 2 sizes bigger than you normally would if you want your child to have room to wear anything more than a T-shirt underneath.
