Meomi is Vicki Wong and Michael Murphy. Meomi enjoys sitting by the ocean, making up stories, drinking tea, and drawing strange creatures. Nice story. The story introduces the shadows and their function, presenting them as proper characters with feelings.The king of shades call them back to his realm after noticing people do not recognize the importance they have in everyday life, octonauts decide to go and talk to the king and make sure they know they are highly appreciated.

Grandson loved it, mum not so much the professor came out with jumbled words much to the amusement of the grandson. Mums read it before you read to them or you might find a fit of giggles will not aid sleep.

New to me, I bought it on the recommendation of my daughter for her three year-old's Christmas present. I bought the hardback edition (as I always tend to do) and read it as my bemusement grew but, having been in Narnia and in Middle-Earth, I gave it the benefit of the doubt.
I am glad I did. He loved it and insisted I read it to him as soon as the paper was off. When we reached the end, he turned the pages back. He's grown out of it now but loved it while it lasted.

Not quite the same as the tv series as this story is fantasy rather than fact based.

The characters are the same and the colours are good.

My 4 year old son, who is mad on the Octonauts, enjoyed this book but we (the adults) were a little disappointed.

As it's ultimately for him and his enjoyment then it's fine and the price is affordable.

Made a good stocking filler.
