As all Penelope and Vi books, this book contains an amazing love story with 2 nice characters.. I always feel on their books the characters meet on a very orginalway, here too. The story hooked me up since the beginning and couldn’t stop reading.

Mixed feelings...

Mostly enjoyed this book but they spent most of the book apart trying to work out their relationship.
Gia spent a lot of time feeling guilty and blaming herself for something that totally was not her fault (father of her baby who was conceived before she even met Rush).
Rush had to decide whether he could be a father to this baby despite knowing who it's 'sperm donor' is. So they spend a lot of time lusting after each other and in Rush's case jerking off. He is still protective and sweet but won't get back into a relationship with Gia until he's decided about whether he can be a dad to her baby.
And as for the baby... I don't know why the sperm donor needed to know, he left Gia with a false name and without giving his number so without chance there was no way she could have ever contacted him anyway!!
Did find the scene where Rush gave Gia the maternity clothes very funny! And I did think that Gia's dad and Rush's Mom would suit each other so liked the ending..

With Gia now pregnant and Rush vowing to be there for her things are seemingly looking up for Gia , when Rush has an invite to attend a party at his stepbrothers Elliot’s house he sees it a great opportunity to introduce Gia to his father & stepbrother . Things get very tense when Gia sees Elliot and realises he’s non other than her one night stand the one who gave a false name & phone number and also father of her baby . When they’re introduced Elliot pretends not to know her but later he makes it plain that he does remember her . In a total panic Gia realises at some point she’s going to have to tell Rush that his stepbrother is the baby daddy . Sadly Rush finds out before Gia can tell him to say he doesn’t handle the news very well is an understatement . Needing to get away to think to get his head around things and when he gets news of the death a close friend in Texas he takes the opportunity to go to the funeral and get away for a while . One thing for certain is they are both deeply in love with one another but will Rush overcome his insecurities and his past before Gia leaves at the end of the summer . I’ve enjoyed reading about bad boy Rush and sassy Gia so much they’re certainly have been on one rollercoaster journey and the ending in my mind is perfect 😍😍

A great story. These two authors always write a fabulous novel, both individually and collectively. We start the second part of this story, where the first one ended. Gia has just realised her one night stand is Rush’s brother, Elliott. The story unfolds and progresses. There is a conflict of emotions, trust issues and despicable behaviour of the babes natural father and much more. The book flows so well that as the reader you are not aware of time or anything else whilst engulfed in the pages. Rush is such an adorable alpha male, who yes makes mistakes, but is also a remarkable individual. Gia is one very strong minded, humourus lady that fate has dealt a momentous hand. A great story well worth 5 stars.

Yes I loved the how the story took off immediately from book one and enjoyed the leads journey. How ever, there was too much inner monologue and only ONE sex scene. This left me disappointed. With these authors, they never usually disappoint but I felt a little short changed after this, hence the four stars. Gia and Rush were great, the character well developed. However, the story didn’t half drag on. I was like ‘ oh just talk to each other for goodness sake ‘.
The story concluded well but the lack of bedroom action really took away what I’ve come to expect from these ladies.
Sorry. But I tell it like it is.
Next time, more sex and angst. Less inner monologue.

I adored this book. Despite being unsure by the pregnancy plotline in book 1, I stayed interested and I'm so glad I did. The drama is seriously amped up by the revelations of the end of the last book and seeing how it affects these characters is amazing. They're really fleshed out human beings with natural responses to situations, which is what kept me hooked in a genre I wouldn't normally read. The humour is fantastic and I'm honestly so sad that it's over.
