If you haven't seen the film yet and you're expecting the characters to be like the games, you'll be disappointed. The characters' appearances, behaviours and back stories are different from the games with Leon almost unrecognisable. There is also no Barry or Rebecca and Ada only makes a brief cameo during the end credits and if your looking forward to seeing Tyrant...he's nowhere to be seen but a Licker does make a brief cameo. Another change is that despite it being called Racoon City, it's referred to as a town throughout with only a tiny population. There are no massive zombie hordes and the RPD isn't crawling with zombies (I'm guessing they couldn't afford the extras) and the ending feels rushed and underwhelming.
If you still fancy seeing it, don't expect it to be too like the games and maybe you'll enjoy it.
I'm a huge RE fan .. I had many worries about the movie BUT strangesly most of them went away when i saw the movie,
The acting is quiet good although the casting is wrong.
The characters look nothing like we know them from the games on their looks and their personalities but for some strange reason it didn't bother me.
The story is also quiet different but at least you have a story anyone can understand.
The places are exactly like in the video games.
Overall .. Take it for what it is .. still not the 100% RE movie i wanted it to be BUT i liked it :) :)
I'm just glad that I didn't go to see it at the cinema because that would have cost more than the £15 I bought it for on here!
The worst depiction of the game in movies I have EVER seen! If you're a fan of the games (who isn't?) then you will be seriously disappointed to learn that Leon Kennedy is portrayed as a doofus rookie with a bad case of narcolepsy! The director of this lazy, ill thought out movie, Johannes Roberts, obviously doesn't have a clue (despite what he says!) and the cast are mediocre wannabes at best - avoid the 'extras' unless you want to see a bunch of largely talentless people pretending to be something they're obviously not and 'back-slapping' one another like the 'lovey-darlings' they aspire to be!
I initially gave this dreadful movie a mediocre rating, but I simply can't let it lie because I don't want other people to waste their money. Don't buy it!
