Biografía del autor

Rachel Bright is a wordsmith, illustrator and professional thinker of happy thoughts. She has written many bestselling books for children, including Love Monster, The Lion Inside and The Koala Who Could - winner of the Evening Standard Oscar's Book Prize and the Sainsbury's Book Award. Her books have been translated into 40 languages and have sold over 2 million copies worldwide. She is also the creator of award-winning stationery and homewares range, The Brightside. Rachel lives on a farm near the seaside, with her partner and their two young daughters.

Jim Field is a lead-driven, pencil-pushing, 25-frames-per-second Led Zeppelin fan. He is also a hugely talented award-winning illustrator, character designer and animation director. He has worked on a variety of projects, from music videos and title sequences to advertising and books.

His first picture book Cats Ahoy! won the Booktrust Roald Dahl Funny Prize and was nominated for the Kate Greenaway award. He has since illustrated a string of bestselling, multi-award-winning children's books, including Oi Frog! and The Lion Inside, as well as young fiction series Rabbit and Bear, middlegrade novels by David Baddiel and his debut author-illustrator picture book Monsieur Roscoe - On Holiday, a bilingual book that introduces first French words. He grew up in Farnborough, worked in London and now lives in Paris with his wife and young daughter.

Tenemos los 4-5 libros de estos autores.. todos preciosos.. En este caso, nos enseña que una amistad vale más que todas las cosas materiales que acumulamos sin ton ni son y qué nos dan una falsa sensación de bienestar... Dibujos preciosos como el resto de la colección, en inglés... perfecto.

We love books by Rachel Bright as the illustrations are lovely and the stories are interesting. Without a doubt this book was the same although it took some time for us to warm up to it. We felt the story was a bit more complicated and our 3y/o son lost interest the first time. He then asked for it again and again a few weeks down the libe. It has a good lesson in it but it may only make sense to our son when he is older I think. Currently, he just enjoys naming all the sea creatures. 😅. We prefer the other books a bit more than this one.

I adore the illustrations and colours in this book they are stunning, my favourite actually. Unfortunately the text just didn’t do it for me at all. I think a simpler less rhyming story, less complicated and something a toddler would understand and enjoy. The morale of the story goes way over a 2.5 year olds head. So I make up my own story when I read it to her and problem solved 😝

Rachel Bright books are a joy for child and parent alike. Especially if you have to read it 10 times in one sitting as I do with my grand-daughter. They are clever, funny, insightful and have a subtle life lesson in each one. I love reading them to her. This was a pre-order book but reliable as ever, Amazon delivered on time and well-packed. Highly recommend this.

I loooove the illustrations so much!!! But the story line wasn't really gripping. Or interesting. Not exciting. My kids nor I weren't eager to find out what happens next... It is a pity.. Because the illustrations are beautiful.
