I was looking forward to these pieces and placed an order as soon as it went live. Unfortunately the quality was not good. I got both the plaid and the camel color in size XS and S, and both size gave me the oversized look I was going for (XS being the exact and S being a lose fit). For reference I’m 5’4” and 136lbs with no curves.
The Plaid: I liked the outside fabric which was very soft, but the lining was not good. They were using a tweed fabric for lining and it was scratchy. If you are sensitive with wool fabric you will feel it unless you wear a long sleeve. I was hoping to use this not only for cold days but also for warmer days with t-shirts so I had to reconsider.
The Camel: The color is exactly how it looks in the picture and the fabric was very soft. However it did not have any lining like the plaid version, despite the same price. Also as other reviewers mentioned it does shed a little but not a lot. After trying it on I did have to use a lint roller.
Both Colors: Overall the design idea was great, and I loved it. Unfortunately the execution wasn’t there. One of the things that bothered me a bit was that the seams were sewn in a way that it looked very bumpy. With the bumpiness combined with the super lightweight fabric, it doesn’t drop nicely on your body in the back. You won’t notice it from the front, but when you look in the mirror from the side it is noticeable. You might get lucky and get the one that drops nicely with your body, but at this price point I was hoping for a better quality control. Also the pocket placement was slightly off and not easy to place your hand in without looking for it.
I got a Hushed Pink. I love the color and style. It’s totally oversized style for sure but I find it’s flattering. But fabrics very cheap, inside stitches feel poorly made and itchy. Whatever the liner they used. Shouldn’t be use for clothing. Overall it’s look and feel very cheap. It could’ve been better if they invested on their fabrics choices. I would be fine paying more if that’s the case but the product look and feel cheaper than the price. Or else I would say you got what you pay for . $69 still a lot for this cheap shacket.Returned.
For the price, this shacket was not worth it. The quality felt very cheap (agree with the other reviewer who compared it to Forever 21). I was disappointed since I was excited for this piece after Ellen shared it on her Instagram. I am 5'3, 115 lbs and the fit was HUGE!!!! It was not flattering on me at all. I didn't like the pocket flaps on the front, they popped out too much. Also they looked uneven so I had to adjust the shacket.
The fit of this shacket didn’t work for me. While I expected it to be oversized, it lacks structure so the bottom hangs more like a poncho than a jacket. Also the inside flap isn’t sewed down so it doesn’t seem that great of quality for the price and it isn’t lined so if you’re not wearing a long sleeve shirt the arms are scratchy. I really wanted to love this but unfortunately going to return.
The outside material is soft and the buttons are cute. However, the back seam is bunched so I am disappointed with the quality. It also doesn't lay right when you leave it buttoned down or up for that matter. I really wanted to love this shaket but I am definitely returning. I am 5'0" and got a XS so I figured it'd be oversized but I straight up drowned RIP.
This arrived with makeup smudges and a hole in one of the pockets. The material was shabby looking and a little itchy, the quality really does not match the price. Also, I know the description says that it’s “oversized” and it really is, no need to order a size up to get a more relaxed look, stick with your usual size.
I really wanted to like this shaket, even though I sized down it was still so big, i would say size down two sizes at least, also it felt really heavy, I was expecting something a little bit more light so that I could use it next spring and lastly the cut in the back was a bit awkward, maybe too long?
